The Joy of Rhythm

Workshops designed to harmonize mind and spirit through sound

Sharing the Joy of Rhythm

Trained in piano, voice, and percussion in Switzerland and the United States, Mary Howells has been teaching music since 2006, guiding people of all ages in the exploration of rhythm, creativity, and musical expression. Her journey—from Geneva to the Middle East, then to Boston and Cuba—has shown her the universal power of music as a form of non-verbal communication that brings people together, nurtures deep listening, and creates meaningful human connections beyond words.

Inspired by her long-standing practice of meditation, yoga, and Reiki, Mary has developed an approach in which music becomes a pathway to well-being, presence, and creativity. Through drum circles, meditative music workshops, and sound healing sessions on a resonance table, she invites each participant to experience the joy of playing together, exploring a rich variety of instruments and their unique sounds and vibrations, listening mindfully, and sharing an authentic moment of spontaneous, collective, and liberating musical creation.

Drum Circles

Drum circles invite participants to experience well-being, creativity, and human connection through rhythm.

In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, everyone is free to explore a wide variety of percussion instruments drawn from musical traditions around the world.

Guided by listening, improvisation, and mindfulness, participants create spontaneous music together, where silence, sounds, and rhythms naturally interact. No musical experience is required—only a willingness to play, listen, and share in the joy of creating music together.

Family music activities offer a joyful opportunity to discover, play, and connect through a rich collection of percussion instruments from around the world.

Parents, grandparents, and children are invited to explore sounds, improvise together, and create rhythms in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Guided by listening, curiosity, and the simple pleasure of making music together, these sessions encourage creativity, non-verbal communication, and stronger family connections. No musical experience is required—everyone participates at their own pace and contributes to a shared musical creation.

Sound Massage

Harmonic Resonance Table

The Harmonic Resonance Table Sound Massage is a one-on-one experience designed to promote deep relaxation and well-being. While lying comfortably on a specially designed 55-string resonance table, participants are immersed in gentle harmonic vibrations as live music is played, encouraging calm, release, and a profound inner journey.

Inspired by an approach developed in Switzerland, this unique sound therapy combines the vibrations of the resonance table, the soothing tones of singing bowls, and meditative musical improvisation to create an environment that supports relaxation and the harmonious balance of body and mind. No physical touch is involved—the experience is guided entirely through sound and vibration.
